As an example:- Grumman Martlet IV FN112(?)/07*D, 888 HMS Formidable Operation Torch Nov-1942. Lt DM Jeram. I would need to confirm the serial against Struviant but I think the 1/72 Airfix Martlet IV has the markings in the box. - Now any chance they'll enlarge it to 1/48 for me? Funnily enough, I'm toying with the idea of doing the Airfix Martlet I have in the stash as the AZ and Sword ones aren't suitable for Operation Torch. I've been after an Albacore for a while but the Special Hobby one is out of production (although Hannants have it as 'TBA') so costs a fortune on eB*y. I did, briefly, consider a Pegasus one but thought better of it. 2 hours ago, Grey Beema said: I'm wondering "great minds" or "fools seldom differ"? Possibly a bit of both. The Fulmar has had a coat of Future, prior to getting it's transfers: Meanwhile, I started a second build. Thanks for looking.

Humbrol enamels and, if they are spot-on, it's more by luck than judgement. On 13/04/2018 at 11:23 PM, CedB said: Very nice job Simon, I now have Fulmar envy! If you're thinking of giving in to Fulmar envy, don't bother with the AZ one: it's the same plastic as the Vista/Smer/Airfix/Revell one so is overpriced (although you get some etch and resin wheels). As I mentioned above, I think I'll do one in the high-demarcation (?) scheme next. The exhausts, I've modified some from an AZ Spitfire, have been installed and she's had a watered-down goauch wash. Thanks for for looking. Edited April 21, 2018 by Beard
Beard
In between sitting in the garden, drinking Ghost Ship and listening to XTC, I've wiped the wash off: I can't decide if I ought to add a stretched sprue aerial or not. Thanks for looking. Edited April 21, 2018 by Beard
