Well welcome aboard me hearties, time to have some fun.

 

Well this is the first of the multi build GB's and a chance for different members with different interests to come together in one GB.

  

Pat (Jockney) has kindly offered to help out as Co-Host in the absence of Tony (TonyTiger66).

 

There will be 3 sections to this GB: Aircraft Carriers, things that fly off them, and Deck equipment.

 

Eligible builds:

 

Aircraft Carriers:

 

One flight deck that starts at the bow and finishes at the stern and is uninterrupted in its length, the sort we’re all familiar with. It could also be a Helicopter carrier or one of those US Marine Assault ship types, it just needs to have a full-length flight deck, and it must have been operational. In doubt just ask.

 

Flying thingies:

 

They must have been fully operational and operated off aircraft carriers, not test aircraft or one off series test aircaft like the X-47B drone or C-130 on a carrier!!!! Plus the scheme does need to reflect it being operational on a carrier as well. In doubt just ask.

 

Deck thingies:

 

This is open to anyone who’d like to do a deck diorama, vignette, with just the deck vehicles and equipment or just the equipment themselves.

 

There will be a separate galley for each of the sub-builds.

 

For the actual rules, nice and simple and pretty much the usual:

 

·       The Group Build will run from 00:01GMT Saturday 24^th March to 23:59GMT 15^th July.

 

·       The model can be any scale, but sorry no snap-tight models. Aftermarket stuff, as much as you’d like!

 

·       All models must be less than 25% complete at the start of the build, if in doubt please ask.

 

·       All builds must have a WIP thread showing progress, models cannot go into the gallery unless there is a build thread for them. Please remember only 5 photos go into the gallery or you may be asked to remove some if you have too many.

 

·       No buying/wanted or selling in the GB please, there is a buying and selling section in Britmodeller for this!

 

·       There will be polls to vote for your favourite builds at the end of the GB, but please do not canvas for votes.

 

·       No WhatIf or Fictional craft or schemes.

 

·       Please be polite and constrictive with your comments to member’s builds and no arguments please and no rivet counting either please!

 

At the end of the day it’s all about having fun and enjoying the build no matter what your modelling skills. Those new to GB’s please feel free to ask for help if you need it, there are always plenty of members happy to help out.
