phildagreek
I'm calling this one done. It turned out pretty good I think, pretty happy with it. It is the venerable (old) Tamiya kit that I found on ebay just before Christmas, there is a WIP if you fancy it. It continued my happy theme of M113 variants and the IDF with their adaptions of the vehicle. The Keshet carries the 120mm mortar, I've built this with the ramp up, first of all for a change as I usually build them with the ramp down and having studied pictures of the mortar itself I realised I wasn't in the mood for scratch building it, this was more about the vehicle than the weapon. The kit itself went together very well with little clean up needed and the usual clear instructions. There is some Tamiya, Meng, Accurate Armour a little Italeri, some Bison decals and some bits and pieces from the spares box for flavour! As always it was brush painted using Humbrol enamels and finished with Winsor & Newton acrylic varnishes. I'm working on a simple base for it inside a Tamiya "C" case with a little Signomatic name plate. Some photos then; M106 - 1 by phil da greek, on Flickr The original Tamiya box, late 70's maybe. BlackMax12
Pretty impressive Phil. They sure cram a lot of junk...er...stuff on these things, looks almost like a decked out Sherman from WWII. I especially like the way you did the straps on the front storage bin, looks really good, are they made from Tamiya tape or some such? Take care, Lloyd

phildagreek
Thank you both. The straps are made of everyday masking tape folded over, painted the appropriate colour & then trimmed with a new blade & steel ruler.
Hairtrigger
Really nice build, the twist in that strap is a nice touch.
