Learstang
I'm just getting used to the idea of using camouflage marking transfers (wooden finish, lozenge) on some WWI Albatros models I have. I haven't really thought about some of the more exotic modern schemes, but this 'digital' camouflage does look like a good candidate for a transfer. Flankerman
Authentic Decals did a decal sheet in 1/72 scale for a Ukrainian digital Su-27 which was excellent..... They also quoted the colours they used so you could match up - and they supplied extra bits for 'filling in' We just need the same for the Su-57... Robertone139
I would rather use painting masks for something like that.
sroubos
Same here. I doubt you will get a 100% fit with decals on the whole airframe, so you'll have to do some touch-up and then good luck finding a paint to match the decals. I also worry about what it will do with the cripness of the panel lines if you cover the whole kit with decals. Filbert_Wang
That video was great @Aardvark - it's certainly a very impressive looking aircraft. Now to guess on how many years it will be before the Russians come back to Fairford Air Tattoo and bring one with them

Yes I remember that period well, and aircraft like the Flanker will forever have a golden spot of nostalgia for me when they first appeared there during that thawing of relations after the cold war. A friend of mine who worked there with the RAF told me of them arriving on fumes and then flying back to Russia with full tanks, but I think everyone was convivial and in good spirits.

With any luck all this low radar return and fighting insurgents from 30,000+ ft can stop. Mike
I've forgotten. Are we gonna get a 1:48 kit of the Su-57 now? I think it's a yes, but can't remember who or when.

I believe Kitty Hawk and Zvezda both have 1:48 kits coming. There is always the HpH kit though...if you have some extra cash and don't mind fibreglass.
