harveyb258
A radiused slot and tool would help immensely, dear Dan. Far easier said than done, though.... Tbh, I hadn't noticed the differing top louvres....they look soooo good. Beautiful result!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silenoz
Looking good, and for the curved louvres, maybe a mall tool, with a width of a few mm's to form the gradually, or maybe a system like a tin-opener to form them?

Bandsaw Steve
This is just so so very good! When I have more time - I’m commuting to work right now and am nearly there- I will read through the thread in greater detail and add the maximum Number of ‘likes’. This goes to show just how much can be achieved with metal by a true expert.

larchiefeng
Dan, Beautiful work! There's so much great detail work everywhere on this car it's hard to know where to start looking first! The overall presence of the car is impressive and it's definitely not something that, you see every day. I also, really like the dash and interior. I think that, it's probably where your eye goes after taking in the overall shape of the car. You are drawn to the details and the dash and cockpit are where they are concentrated without opening things up. Superb work !!!
Bandsaw Steve
Just finished looking through this thread as promised above. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement. Superior skills and outcomes at every step. One question if I may... How do you go about soldering aluminium to Brass? I’ve tried a couple of times and can’t make any progress. The solder and brass just do not seem to ‘take’ to the aluminium and just slide around and don’t join at all. Any advice welcome as I enjoy using both of these metals. I mis-understood entry #182. I thought you had soldered an aluminium rim onto a brass dashboard. But I have just re-read it now and see that it does not actually say that. Good to have it confirmed that can’t be done. A Pity though. It would be useful. Steve
brian davey
Words escape me, being new to this Forum, I had no earthly idea that this kind of modeling occurs, or for that matter, is even possible. This build truly belongs in a museum, you have no peers! Brava, Brava, Brava!
Roy vd M.
Today I saw these photos; they reminded me of your build. Source: https://catalogue.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/cb45675153q These photos are extremely detailed (see https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b53190231q/f1.item.r=1927 voisin.zoom) : Full zoom: Different photo: I frankly don't know at all if (in case you didn't know the photos) I make you very happy or very unhappy by showing these photos after your build has finished, but I thought let's share.
