Richard E
Fantastic build - if I was clinging to the upturned hull of a 1/72nd scale boat I'd be more than happy to see that coming to get me. 1 hour ago, Dads203 said: For the time being I’ll probably now go and build another AFV for the next project. I'll go and book my comfortable chair in anticipation - did you finish the Jagdtiger ? Edited March 10, 2018 by Richard E

IGKent
Great rescue KING, Dan! But only the final photos is better done on a one color background. Edited March 10, 2018 by IGKent
longshanks
Right cos it's you I can say what I've wanted to say on numerous occasions to other modellers You've spent how many weeks producing a masterpiece ..... and the spent one minute taking pics of the finished object. Living near Culdrose I've watched 771 Sea Kings flying over all sorts of scenery but never over a keyboard or a collection of paints, We awaiting some decent pics tomorrow You don't want the boys round do you??? Kev Having seen it in the flesh masterpiece is probably an understatement 1
CJP
Superb Sea King but agree with IGKING & longshanks above - would like to see a couple of photos of it set against a plain background so you can admire the model on its own - the boiling sea base looks good too CJP Edited March 10, 2018 by CJP

longshanks
A truly great miniature, setting the standard at this scale (1/72). Much better display ..... Of course you could bring it with you and photograph it against the Cornish cliffs Kev

Dads203
Cheers guys , glad you like the finished build. John i’ll do my best buddy and not keep you all waiting another year for another build Expect to see a few more helicopters in 72nd scale and a few more of these Airfix Sea Kings, HAR 3 and HC4. I think though I’ll build the old Airfix Lynx AH1 converted to AH7 standards after my current AFV 436 build. Kind Regards Dan

Wafu
The King is dead, long live the King. Very nice rendition of a very nice subject. I like the standard Sea King stance in the hover, every ounce of torque being pulled to keep her in the air, well replicated in the coned blades. Thanks for sharing it with us. The Woo.
The_Lancaster
Brilliant bit of modelling there! The base really sets it off nicely, shows off all the extra work brilliantly! Thanks for sharing! Sam

CMSCHLOM
Great diorama. Perhaps adding a jet jock waving to the crewman from his dinghy, repeating "I'll never look down on helicopter pilots again, Ill never...."
