I just spent a few minutes researching the possible pilot for that F4F. I found that an F4F 2-F-5 was assigned to one Lt Albert O Vorse who actually landed on Lexington after the carrier had been fatally damaged and sank with the boat. It can't be a coincidence.

I saw this acouple mornings ago. Surprised there hasn't been more coverage here on elsewhere on th media. Those aircraft look very good apart from some dents and buckles Colours and markings very much intact down to the VF-3 emblem and kill markings. The very rare Devastators look good too! Apparently Dauntlesses are there as well. Remarkable condition. Will they try and bring those aircraft up I wonder.
