John_drummer Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) I think this is finished now. OOB with additional Eduard seatbelts from their 1/32 BAe Hawk (T Mk53 iirc). airbrushed with a mix of Humbrol, Revell and Tamiya acrylics thanks for looking, hope you like it Edited February 26, 2018 by John_drummer Double pic post 14
John_drummer Posted February 26, 2018 Author Posted February 26, 2018 (edited) Thanks :-) apart from the seatbelts, just what comes in the kit. Floor & cockpit sprayed with Revell AquaColor 09 Anthracite, dry brushed with a bit of Tamiya XF16 Flat Aluminium to bring out the detail. Nice kit decals to replicate the glass cockpit & Dradis screens. only problem was the fit of the canopy, left big gaps down the sides where the frame meets the body. Bit of filler, gently sanded back so as not to lose the “Helo” and “Athena” pilot / co-pilot decals Edited February 26, 2018 by John_drummer
picard Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Frack, Fabulous job on a great looking slightly well worn Raptor, and the whole office just comes alive those seat belts additions, very nicely done sir. "So Say We All" Cheers.
Hamiltonian Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Oh yes. I want one of those, but I'd be pleased to do half as good a job.
Mikey-1980 Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 Love it!! i need to get this to add it to the BSG collection I have on the go....
F-32 Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Sometimes you have to roll the hard six Great work, very convincing
Mick4350 Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Did not know why such much dust in space. I just wish this model were availably locally, but alas no. Looks great !
Mike Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Good work - is it an easy build, or tricky? I read the bit about the canopy not being a great fit
John_drummer Posted June 9, 2018 Author Posted June 9, 2018 Easy enough, yeah. The canopy is a nice tight fit, but a couple of mm too narrow. Or maybe I built some extra space into the cockpit by accident

You never quite know whether it's you or them - and your attitude is way better than those that immediately blame the kit I've been in the same position before, and quite often I'll eventually decide it was my fault.
