Panther with Flakrakete Rheintochter RIIa

Here is my build finished today. I made several improvements on the Custom Scale Flakrakete Rheintochter IIa resin conversion kit, mainly superdetalling and scratchbuild parts on sidewalls, including full telemetry system. I added Zimmeritt and photo etched on my Panther Ausf.G from Dragon.

Top notch job as usual!!, very well done in all aspects, i especially like the front shell of the rocket, very well achieved, it looks like "real armor", and the wood of the rocket's back, very authentic too,:goodjob:

Cheers Cesar

Hello Carius !

Good idea ! and very nice kit,

However, I would'nt have to stay on the seat when the rocket is fired !!

That will be a hot place for sure !

Nice job on painting and weathering, I suppose that you already have a Coelian in your collection !

Did'nt know that they have had this idea.... Once again !

sincerely.

I've loved the look of the Rheintochter ever since seeing the one at Cosford forty-odd (fifty?!!) years ago - it looks even better mounted on an AFV chassis like that. Great work, a real inspiration.

Many thanks Johnny. I saw one of these rockets in the Deutsches Museum, 2015, in Munich.

Cheers

Thanks mate.

Yes, it was not advisable to stay on the seat when the rocket is fired :jump_fire:

Many thanks Steve. You mean the german flying bomb V1, I think.

Cheers

NP.

No X1 was a guided anti shipping bomb developed during 1943

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_X

they also had the Henshel  hs293 dropped from a dornia

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henschel_Hs_293

a bouncing bomb dropped from a FW190

1:25 in this video

and the mistell project  (though neith the last 2 are true guided weapons)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mistel

hope these can inspire some future builds for people :-)
