Hello folks,

This is the Academy (Accurate Miniature) kit. It is very detailed but the manual is poorly designed as it retained only the pictures of the Accurate Miniature's one without any explanation. I also used some Eduard photoeched in the cockpit, the decals are from Berna. Hope you like it.

This is fantastic!

I have the Italeri :banghead:Academy boxing of this to do in this scheme too whenever I get time, you're right about the instructions.

I'd be very pleased if mine came out looking half as good as yours.

Superb!

Well done, Pelican! The wing root weathering is superb.

I've got a couple of the AM boxings from back in the day when I built in 1/48.  One of the finest kits ever tooled, up there with Tamiya's Thunderbolts.  Really wish some enterprising souls would pantograph the AM Avenger and Dauntless down to 1/72!

this is the link on the turret which has given some folks trouble

I believe their Dauntless has been re-boxed by Italeri & includes a French scheme.

both  Italeri, and  then Eduard have reboxed the AMm Dauntless with  French schemes.

cheers

Thanks you very much for your kind comments!

 @Troy Smith

Indeed I worked on the weathering based on the exact picture you post. Somewhat to my surprise I managed to fit the turret without any problem according to the AM instructions.

I am the fortunate owner of an Eduard Dauntless box but for the time being I would rather build 1/72 jets.

Cheers
