 ARNOLD!!!!!!

curses!!! I now you made me think about a Viggen and now I want a Viggen and one in that crazy splinter colour scheme as well!

I now can see myself purchasing the Tarangus SH/SF37 and lots of extras soonish  :wall:  ....well may be later in the year. :D

Well if you do the viggen, than I will do the Draken recon version. As I already have got the conversion for it.:D

O, I have already got the AJ37 from Special hobby. It will also be in the splinter scheme.

Cheers,

yes it's all your fault now!! Just bought the Tarangus Limited Edition SH/SF-37, that one comes with extra decals for 6 other aircraft. Plus I see there are masks available for the splinter scheme, they will be a must buy!!

It's very tempting to build the SH-37 Maritime Recon & Strike version, but I do want to build the SkyKnight as well.....I'll have to do an "Enzo"!! :D

Ehhh, it could be that I want to build a aircraft in all four categories.:D I was thinking of a Hs-129 as tankbuster, a Bf-110 nightfighter, a Saab draken recon and a dauntless for anti shipping. B) O, and all in 1/48.

cheers,

cheers,

Great idea, seeing as how my proposed Hs-129 with 75mm gun was outrageously excluded from the Kursk GB, I could sneak it in here !

cheers Pat

@trickyrich does airborne early warning count as recon, or is that stretching the definition a bit? Just purchased a Zvezda Beriev A-50 that would fit the bill if it counts. This GB might also be the kick I need to build my Modelsvit Tu-22KD - that would count as a ship killer I think, with the AS-4 Kitchen which was apparently designed to attack US carrier groups. Hopefully we can get to 30 and get this in the poll.

gosh I had almost forgotten about this GB!

I think we could include EW aircraft into the Recon section, there aren't that many and it's nice to seem them built. A Tu-22 with AS-4's would be nice to see.

I'd better give this thread a nudge to see if we can get a few more interested parties!

I'll have a go, in the stash are a Special Hobby 1/48th Blackburn Skua and an Eduard 1/48th FW-190 that has Nightfighter options, plus others which may be suitable...…  mmmm…...

This is so wide as to be impossible not to like.

Maybe a drone (recon) or F-2A or beaufighter (anti-ship) or ki-15 (recon)….

So, please put me down for this.

no worries Alan, you're added to the list.

I tried to make this GB as wide as possible with some really interesting subjects that normally wouldn't get a GB or be lumbered in with a bigger ones if you could find a suitable build. This way we get some smaller GB's each with specialist subjects.

Yeah - why not Rich, it’ll be pretty cool to build at least one of each but at my lightning construction pace that’ll never happen. There’s plenty of scope in that list so will have plenty to choose from, but what’s the bet I buy something new for it anyway!

Cheers.. Dave

add me in please

I have several easy ones which fit the main subjects; a couple of P61s, a Camel or BE2C, Hs129B, Ju87G, SM79, M18 Hellcat . . .

I might throw in an unusual one; a figure riding a horse. In particular either Colquhoun Grant or Edward Cocks

This is a rather brilliant idea for a GB.....Please put my name down, I'll almost certainly go for a ship killing truck:

0002384_russian-bal-e-mobile-coastal-def

Or, if a certain degree of WHIFery is permitted (the vehicle is real, but not currently in service because of all the treaties it would violate), this:

0002655_russian-3m-54caliberclub-mcoasta

Since the 3M54 (in its various guises) would suit it well, could I perhaps suggest a fifth category:  The Lords of Armageddon - Nuclear delivery systems of one kind or another (there are some very cool kits in this field, one of which just arrived on my doorstep from Bulgaria).  :boom:

PS - Just noticed the spelling issue on Modelcollect's BAL-E box top!  :eat:

now this is really thinking outside the box....I didn't think of vehicles for the Ship Killers, but they do fit the build. A non-Whiffy is preferred

I wish they'd do these in 1/35th, I have both f these underway at the moment, along with multiple other builds! :wall:

4K51 Rubezh Costal ASM wt P-15

Costal Defense Gun A-222 Bereg

You'r on the list.

It's only a WHIF if it's in Russian markings the vehicle itself is quite real (it's an export version, seen at a few arms fairs recently):

We've seen (submarine/ship & air launched) KLUB missiles pulverising Jabhat al Nusra and ISIS in Syria.....It looks like a second helping is on the cards quite soon from all those Russian ships gathering in the Med.  :fight:

PS - This would be another great subject, but there's no kit that I can find:

welcome along, you're added.

You might need less than 7 Rich, both I and @Black Knightindicated our interest at around Post #66-67.

I haven't checked all the otherss, however you're probably doing better than first thought.

Cheers.. Dave
