vppelt68
Cheers guys, the Anton Marie is on its way although I haven't bothered taking any pics or posting a report on its progress 😊. I visited my LHS today and carried an ICM 1:72 Do 17 Z (Finnish of course) home with me. . Anybody care to distract me by proposing how it could be built as a (Luftwaffe) ship killer or recce a/c instead? I doubt that, but I'm listening... . An RF-5E will be something a little bit different, Malaysian Air Scheme I take? They are quite a unique and intersection version of the F-5, will be great to see one built.
aidy
Yeah, it'll be in an RMAF scheme. I'll start a new thread, then. Thanks!
Col.
This landed in my lap on Wednesday night courtesy of @Duncan B at Black Mike Models... Need to clear the workbench but if I've sufficient time this will be my GB subject.
trickyrich
nice!!! I have seen them for sale but never one being built, they're odd enough to really grab my interest, so it'll be great to see one being built. Gosh my poor old work bench is a bit allover the place at the moment, am in the middle of re-organising everything at the moment so builds are very disjointed, Typhoon is waiting for paints (stuff up in the ordering process on my part! ), the Skyknight is painted but I think I need to re-do it?? The Sturmtiger is a mass of smaller made up sections that covered the entire space for a while, and I've finally got the decals and a clear coat on my RNZAF F-16CK (an project started 3 years ago??) and I found the decals have silvered under the clear coat... ....and not to mention all the other projects I've dragged to have a look at and maybe do a wee bit on
trickyrich
one special request to all those placing their final builds in the gallery, can you please list what theme your build is in??? I'll make it soooo much easier for me at the end to group you correctly. Else I'll have to PM you and you may end up in the wrong group you thought you may have been in!

Well it was going to be a straightforward Out Of The Box project until I went looking at photos on the internet (no not that type of photos!) and found a couple of good ones showing the mass of wiring going on in the nose. Also sent off for the Eduard seatbelt set to populate the bang seats
trickyrich
well folks time is nearly up and it's time to panic!!! We've got 25 completed builds in the gallery so far and I know there are a few soon to join them as well. So time for that big final push and lets see how many more we can get into the gallery.

CliffB
Sorry guys, but this just has to be done. My four specialists in close formation They're all 1/100ish scale. I must admit that when Rich first floated the idea of combining topics into a Specialists GB, I saw it as a bit of a cheat. As it's turned out though, I've become a fan! I'm looking forward to Specialists II (please). Cheers Cliff

German Armour
How would I link my build with this group build? I see that people do that.
trickyrich
just go to the first page of your build, then right click and copy the address on the top, it'll sort of look like the address for this page. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235034229-the-specialist-gb-chat/page/17/&tab=comments#comment-3383852 Then go to where you want to insert the link and right click again and paste. All going good you should see a nice little window appear that'll lead you back to your build.

trickyrich
well unfortunately that's it folks she's all over! A well done and thank you to everyone that came along, I do hope you enjoyed yourselves. There were some fantastic build in this GB, some made it to the gallery and some unfortunately just didn't quite. A special mention has to be made for @CliffB who managed to complete all 4 themes with his wonderful wee beasts! I hoped everyone liked the idea behind this GB, it was a great chance to see some more unusual themed builds we normally don't get a chance to see or that they're lost in midst of a larger GB. A big thanks to my lovely Co-Host @Col. for helping me run this beast, and again a big thanks to all those that came along and made this GB what it was. To those that didn't quite make, please continue on and update your threads I know there is still quite alot of interest in some of these builds. I'll try a get a poll/s up shortly, there will be one for each theme. 7
trickyrich
just to let everyone know I've finally managed to get the poll up, what a job!! Ok there are only 3 polls because the site software only allows for 3, so Recon/AWACs/ECM and Nightfighers have their own polls. But I had to combine the Ship Killers and Tank Busters into one poll, but this one is multi choice, I've identified the the Tank Busters build with **. So you have 2 choices for this one (note the poll will actually allow you to have more than 2, please don't do that, be nice!!). The poll hopefully will Auto-lock at midnight on the 21st. Again a huge thank you to everyone who supported this GB, it was lots of fun and I'd love to do another one in the future.....with new subjects??
