The rules section contains this line. ”No WhatIf or Fictional craft or schemes.” Im doing the He-219 but not a fan of the two schemes in the kit ? Id like to use a different scheme from another Heinkel or Nightfighter type. Would that fall under the fictional scheme rule ? If yes i will stick with what is in the box ? Dennis unfortunately yes, the scheme has to have been one used operationally. 35 minutes ago, PhantomBigStu said: I assume a tornado ECR counts in the ECM category? that should be ok as it fits in the Recon category

Col.
Good Lord, we've not even opened the shop door and there's 17 project threads already, it's going to be a busy one @trickyrich For my own part I'm thinking a PR. I Spitfire using the basic but pleasant Airfix 72nd scale kit with a Pavla canopy then, in the unlikely event I have sufficient time, a Mosquito Mk. XVIII from the ancient but still acceptable Airfix 72nd scale kit. Edited March 11, 2019 by Col.

German Armour
Well, Maybe I could join this GB. I have the Tamiya Goliath, which would be tank killer/demolition tank. And I have Tamiya's new 1/35 M3A1 scout car. Which would be recon. Edited March 27, 2019 by Panther II

trickyrich
Gosh it has been a bit busy around here after the initial bashing on Enzo's door to wake him up and get the main GB thread up........not a particularly nice sight first thing in the morning!!! We have had 23 builds posted already and we still have 4 days to go to the official kick off. Well done everyone so far this looks like it's going to be an awesome GB, keep-'em coming. With that in mind @Mottlemaster has offered to help out @Col. and myself as Co-Host/cat herder, so please be nice to him. Me, I fighting a loosing battle over whether to have another couple of builds up as well, I currently very distracted and already have a couple of stalled builds. Will just have to see what happens. 2

Plasto
Sounds good strictly speaking it’s SEAD but I guess as it has to use ECM for that mission all is ok...
Hewy
I'm still undecided and maybe need a push, I've got several options for this gb, although @trickyrich ruled out the soviet aerosan , and the lrdg, sas jeep still needs some more research and resin, which I'm hoping to accrue in bits rather than a 1 off kit, so another search through the stash has turned up something maybe more suited to the gb, -Choices, any help would be most appreciated, 1st 1/48 Bf 110 g-4 revell (night fighter), this looks a very nice kit, maybe need some of those fug radar ariels I haven't got these masks or decals but I like this scheme a lot, how hard can crosses be to mask, but what are the colours if I did this one Henschel, hs126 b-1 ( recce) 1/48 , simple build not many parts, nicely molded, would maybe lean toward North Africa camo Or, Internet photo, but its in the attic I know it is(recce)another in 48th , would be Swiss green, grey cammo Edited March 12, 2019 by Hewy

Torbjorn
Me too, if I may! I had a look in my embarassingly fast-growing collection of unbuilt kits, and found no less than three ship-killers. A Vought Vindicator and a Nakajima B5N - and a Helldiver which has to pass this time since I have an Eduard BigEd set for it which I cannot find. I have troubles deciding, so I will have to rummage through the boxes a bit to see which one is calling loudest. 🤔

I usually barely finish one fighter within a GB and these have the equivalent of 10 fighter cockpits between them. Must resist.
Dazzio
Evening Lads, I have a few ideas for this group build. I want to join in with both an An-71 "Madcap" and an A-50 "Mainstay" - I believe both meet the criteria for AEW. Even if the Madcap was later dropped at the prototype stage - but it did fly. Just curious if a Fennik could be okay when/if I finish the Mainstay? Kind Regards, Dazz
trickyrich
The Mainstay will be fine, not quite so the Madcap, even though prototype flew it didn't achieve operational status, so technically it's not eligible. A really interesting aircraft though. You had me with the Fennek for a bit but I eventually found what you were talking about, that will be fine. 1

PhantomBigStu
Obviously got enough on my plate with the tornados for while, but would a satillite killing f-15 count as a “ship” killer or is that stretching the definition of a ship to absurdity?
