James Wardle
Hi All, this is my latest effort. Tamiya quality kit as ever just my modelling skills don't match unfortunately. As a teenager it was so easy but getting back into the hobby in your sixty's bloody hard, but I'm loving it. I'm satisfied with a decent tidy finish, tried weathering on cheap 1/72 kits and made a mess of it so I think I will keep to the Museum look. Please feel free to comment. F1xena
Hi Jim. I reckon you undersell your skills. Your Zero looks great. I, for one, actually like the look of a nice clean aircraft....they had to be brand new once! You’ve done a great job with the canopy framing....it looks really sharp. Natural light makes it look good too....bring on the sunshine! cheers Tania
RODH2
Beautiful Build...I am (well) into my 60's, and am a fan of the clean look you have portrayed. (I am in Adelaide!)

IanC
Very nice. Personally I like the lack of weathering. Yours looks like a real aircraft in miniature - not always something that can be said for a model that's been 'pre-shaded', 'post-shaded' and 'modulated' to within an inch of its life! Vince1159
Beautifull job and great photo's as well...
mi77915
Really nice build!!! I agree with some of the others who commented on the lack of weathering..... I like modeling aircraft "clean". Most models that I have seen have taken the "weathering" thing way too far, they don't look real to me... I like your build a lot!!!
James Wardle
Thank you so much everyone, very much appreciated. Just realized that the tail wheel had collapsed oop's. All fixed now. Cheers Jim
redcap
Cracking build on the big Zero Jim of what is (still) probably the most enjoyable model kit I have ever built. As others have said, they didn't come out of the factory with chipped paint and TBH, many of them never lasted long enough to have got even slightly 'weathered' ! nick32
Looks great to me Jim, i'm all for weathering but sometimes it can be overdone. Your Zero looks (as someone has already said) like a real one in miniature - Great work!

Twobyfour
The natural light picks out every detail Jim, I for one, am glad you decided to forego extensive weathering. I looks great mate. A lovely finish. Edited February 24, 2018 by Twobyfour

John Masters
Nice looking Zero. Hear-Hear about the lack of weathering and wear! I did notice though that your camera angle makes it look like the tail wheel is missing...
MarkSH
A really nice build, Does it sound silly to say that the paintwork and sheen look in scale? it looks like paint applied to a metal skin. Lovely job.
