Just three sprues, two vinyl tracks and some decals

Going to add a couple of Tamiya figures, kindly donated by club colleague and Sherman guru Pat. He also sold me the kit (cheers Pat).

I know it doesn't have a scale and looks a bit odd in this company.....but thought it might be something to have a bit of fun with!

Cheers,

Dermot

Presumably you'll paint it with black and white stripes?

Coat of primer and drilled out the for the machine gun in the mantlet.

And then painted up - this is Bronze Green instead of Olive Drab, based on the final finish I've planned for this one.

Bit more done with the Toon Sherman.

Running gear and vinyl tracks added. I've painted the tracks Panzer Grey and they still need to be weathered.

Side of the turret got some spare 'track' which I hacked out of plasticard.

And the essentials for an oddball Sherman like this will be.....a barrel extender and loudspeaker!

The Turret with speaker and crewman added. Sheesh......I thought my figure painting was ok until I saw this!

The hull with the barrel-extender added and some homemade stowage too. The tracks also got a coat of dark earth pigment.

And then drying with a Flat Coat of varnish.

Will try my hand at a dot filter later to make the colour a bit more interesting.

Thanks for looking.

Well she's done. Will make up a base to display her properly but for now, happy how the Oddball Sherman turned out.

Just a bit of fun really and thanks for allowing this one to mix with the great Sherman and M3/M4 builds here. I don't build Armour kits (as you can tell) and to those that do, I salute you and am always impressed by your builds.

Will post some more pics in the Gallery, thanks to the Sarge for leading this GB and in the words of Oddball himself......

WOOF WOOF!

Cheers,

That's mighty fine for a somebody who doesn't build armor kits!
