DennisTheBear
So far, so inspiring! You really make this look easy, but if I tried for all the detail you've put in it would look a mess. Outstanding work!! DennisTheBear 1

FAAMAN
That's a fine finish nicely applied Not sure if you know but the exhaust stain for the outboard exhausts on the outboard engines (1 &4) should be quite indistinct compares to the other six exhaust stains inboard of them. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Avro_Lancaster_298.jpg It happens even on preserved examples, https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2Fi1.wp.com%2Fwww.stormfrontproducts.com.au%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2016%2F02%2Favro-lancaster-bomber-1.jpg&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stormfrontproducts.com.au%2Fproduct%2Favro-lancaster-bomber%2F&docid=7nhBw3YIMZ7pLM&tbnid=OKQj_JCkv641UM%3A&vet=1&w=1920&h=1200&client=firefox-b&bih=923&biw=1920&ved=2ahUKEwi8h5yYlK_aAhVLTLwKHWPYB9YQxiAoA3oECAAQFw&iact=c&ictx=1 and https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wallsauce.com%2Fuploads%2Fwallsauce-com%2Fimages%2Fproducts%2Fweb%2Fdarren-harbar%2Flarge%2Fdarren_harbar_photography_aviation-prints_2015_066.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wallsauce.com%2Fus%2Fdesigner-wallpaper-murals%2Fdarren-harbar-photography-avro-lancaster-mural-wallpaper&docid=u2AspGlSkINvFM&tbnid=BWGOXu6Ss0DX7M%3A&vet=1&w=2000&h=1414&client=firefox-b&bih=923&biw=1920&ved=2ahUKEwjvw9qnkq_aAhXIyLwKHQERCIAQxiAoA3oECAAQFw&iact=c&ictx=1 I know it's the same aircraft but it illustrates my point well. Hope this helps FAA
Brian
It’s a function of airflow. The outboard exhaust, in relation to the wing leading edge, is lower, so more of the exhaust plume goes under the wing, The restored Lancs are running on 100LL fuel which leaves much more of a light grey trail on the wing surfaces than the 100/130 fuel or even 80/87 of wartime fuel. Mixture control and engine condition also played a part. If you look at Lanc photos taken during raids in daylight, you are likely to see many variations of exhaust streaking. Cheers. 1

Mancunian airman
Not bad What that on the top of the fuselage near the rear turret ? With that many Ops I think I would have tended to go with the darker stains above the wings. Purely from my eye, the yellow bomb symbols on the RH side are right on the nose/fuselage joint position . . . . Overall a great looking kite and a nice one for anybodys collection 1
