Romeo Alpha Yankee
So while I was away on a little break I managed to start another build for the GB Using the Revell kit and Draw decals for the C-40 I made some progress this morning on it, lots a great step by step photos taken of the build so far. And then my photo editing software decided to delete 9 of the 10 images I had when I was renaming them So I am left with these... and More progress later, if the images aren't deleted again!
CliffB
An interesting choice Ray and I love the time lapse photography! A couple of strokes with a razor saw and then 'voila' - instant fuselage Cliff
Viking
I like these civil aircraft in military service, this one is a beauty. I'm tempted to do one of these now, along with the Thai one that Zebra is doing. That's the trouble with seeing other peoples projects under way, you get inspired to do one yourself! (starts muttering to self "....don't buy any more kits...don'y buy any more decals.....build what you have in the stash....use up the decals you already have....don't buy more kits..." and repeat! [Edit] That'd look great alongside a Poseidon. Corrrr!! [/Edit]

Graeme H
Good to see this one, I also have that decal, we see those here a bit, I even have a long distance photo of one, sad that they took all the markings off them so they can switch between services, makes them white whales these days

I will be doing mine as seen prior to around 2007 when the extra markings disappear. Will also be doing it without winglets. Now with the disruption of a week away and then last week of having the house turn upside down with new floor coverings being installed, I may get to the bench this weekend and make some progress!
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Some paint on the fuselage and the wings are on. Engines assembly also commenced. Rather than the other more elegant and neater methods to reshape the engines I am going for the 'blob of putty' method.

So I have beaten the engines into something that resembles NG versions. Still not perfect but they will do for government work And the fuselage white is down and finished, until I noticed some imperfections near the cockpit roof, back to the paint shop
Romeo Alpha Yankee
When it rains, it pours. This one has been stripped and I am reapplying the white. Hope to get it masked over the weekend.
Romeo Alpha Yankee
Not much on this front happening, engine test Oops, a bit overpowered I think! That's better. I had painted the wings but used Boeing grey instead of Gull grey which these are painted in. Fuselage masking removed and time to remask for the lower fuselage and wing repaint. 10
Graeme H
A repaint, oh the humanity err I'm having to do that myself
Romeo Alpha Yankee
The grey has been applied and I had to deal with a wing root seam popping open. Hopefully, I can get some leading edges painted next and start the decalling process.

Lex77
Nice one Ray and well done on the fuselage shortening. Tried once but failed and am now still hoping someone brings out a 737-700 kit.

I don't think a release date has been announced yet.
