ronnierex Posted February 12, 2018 Share Posted February 12, 2018 Woah, this thing is big! 8) Biggest model on the bench so far... well, except for the Monogram F-14 I built in Jr high. Makes my MIG-21 look tiny in comparison. I know a lot has been said about this kit, but I have to put my two cents in as well...(this IS the internet after all hahaha) I think this kit is so much fun, it's very well done. Clever engineering and fit make this a pleasure to build at every step. Every sink mark so far has been hidden by another part. I'm enjoying this build. Here is the cockpit, still got some work to do on this. I haven't even started working on the seats. Swing wing mechanism is fun to put together AND works really well. No wobble here. Painting of the insides before assembling parts: Painted the insides of the intakes. Installed! And here is what I'm going for! I've painted up the "cans" or whatever you call those big round "fire holes" at the back of a jet! I used Alclad metallics till it looked like some pictures I found on the inter-webs. Well, I think you should totally get one. Its a great kit. I'm not terribly interested in the F-14 as a subject, but I can't put the build down because it's so much fun.
