109 fan
Here is my recently completed AMG Bf 109 B. The complete build thread can be found here: After fighting the AMG Bf 109 A to a draw, I thought I wouldn't want to touch another one for quite some time. But the more I looked at the finished model the more I liked it. This time I didn't adhere to "out of the box" rules and added a few bits. However the AMG kit is so complete, not much was necessary. The cockpit only needed a little sprucing up with some stretched sprue, plastic card and some Eduard preprinted steel seat belts. I also added a Squadron Vac canopy, Barracudacast wheels and wire brake lines. Decals came from A Kagero monograph (Cartograph) and Print Scale. Paints, as always, are Gunze Sangyo aqueous. All in all, this is a very good kit, but not without fit problems. And here it is side by side with its older brother.

Head in the clouds.
Excellent pair of early 109's, I much prefer the early marks of this aircraft and their more unusual schemes.

72modeler
Wow! Or should I say Double Wow? I have enjoyed and learned much following your builds of these two- now I might even get the courage to try one, even if it's just correcting and detailing one of the two Heller kits I have in my inventory. You nailed the tree color splinter scheme and the rivets are very much to scale. Well done, sir! You are a steely-eyed model builder! Mike

Andwil
Superb! I've just bought the AMG 109-D and Printscale sheet to do Molders' Luchs, I will be very happy to get even half as good as these beauties.
Fin
That`s really inspirational! Given the kit`s reported issues I decided to pass on it, but your finished model looks so good I`ve reconsidered my choice. Very well done!
