OK, now have worked out how to post images !

I started this kit 20th January 2018. Very impressed so far, it's my first IBG kit. Construction is like 2 kits in 1 as it has a full interior (not much will be seen but I intend to open all the hatches I can !).

Progress so far:

More work, very detailed kit this. Takes a lot of thought as to when to place what items for the interior as space is tigh.

I used AK real color off white for sidewalls then a Brown Mig Ammo wash. Floor light grey. Engine compartment Ammo primer.

Hello

usually you need to host a picture on a site like imgur and then copy and paste the correct link option which should enable your pictures to be active.  I think there are some tutorials available from the 'home' section of the forum.

Cracking work there. Very nice PE work, right up my alley.......I can appreciate the in there you have. I appreciate also the staged painting you have to do. That issue is holding me up at the moment one one or two projects. Working on a paint set up to get them done.

looking forward to seeing this one progress

regards

Simon

Thanks all for the positive comments. Yes, this one is certainly a kit of many Sub assemblies ! Not complaining though, its far superior to Tamiya's old kit IMO. The good thing about Hobby Boss kits is what you get in the box, and the price compared others. IBG are the same (good on price). I like working with PE, easier with a decent bender of course.

Photo below : Box full of those Sub Assemblies, some of which (like front fenders) will be painted before attaching to hull

More progress,  now ready for the next stage.

The armament / pedestal is like a kit in itself:

Base coat applied.  I used AK real colour German grey,  then applied a lighter coat mixed with buff in an attempt  at some modulation. Now ready for gloss clear cote:

I'm going to leave a few hatches open,  that's the Plan. The hull is not glued yet:

Thanks for the comments.  I'm very impressed  with this kit.  It all fits together  well,  and plenty of PE. Just takes a bit of thought of what to Paint/assemble when!

Not touching it now for a week,  as I have done some more modulation with a brush and oils. Then I can seal that in with Klear before trying a blue filter,  oil wash,  pin wash,  pigments.... The usual stages!

The PE screens are ready for their German grey base coat.
