Speaking of “Maximilian” from “The Blackhole”. They were going to re-make the film. But its on hold for the “script being to dark”.

First part of the resin is in and I happy so far, fingers coss is will set ok. I will add some white water and a few waves once it is set, probably going to try using modgepod gloss.

Cool! And no epoxy shouldn't react with the resin after its fully cured

Cheers. I gave it 2 days before adding the resin.

For some reason that reminds me of Maximilian, despite the blue. Scary!

I like the base too, the way you've laid it out it has a good organic feel.

Looks cracking already Brian!

Yes it is!

Getting some nasty shrinking around the edges, may be the 200g of resin in one go was to much.

Thats a bit of a swine! I've had that happen to me (especially with smelly polyester resin) maybe mix a small amount together and use it to fill the gap.

Look forward to seeing more on this :)

Its polyester resin i used, I did realize it would shrink as much as that. I will give a day or 2 more and try frilling that gaps with more of the same.

A second very light coat of the modpodge applied and blown with the airbrush to get the ripples. Once fully dry i will add a small amount of white dry drushing in a few spots

I think i have finished it now, i feel like i should be adding some grass in the water but im not sure it needs it. What do you think?

That looks fantastic !

Its a same about the resin shrinkage around the edge but in no way does it detract from the diorama. The sense of movement through the water is very very realistic.
