So long as we get the votes required to make it through I know we'll have a lot of fun with this GB. Remember that 12 May next year marks the 70th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift ending ;)

One of us should make a C-54 out of chocolate and Wrigley's Doublemint gum in commemoration of "Operation Little Vittles".

I'd let you off using the Revell kit for a C-54 with the chocolate and Wrigley's as a display base ;)

I missed the 1960's build so will definitely be in for this one! Dave.

There's still plenty time left for the 60's edition if you are able to join in.

This potential GB must have been on my mind while we were away for a few days in Wales, I slipped the leash while SWMBO was looking at handbags and found myself in a little model shop and one of the Airfix 1/48 meteor F8 kits followed me outside 😲

"Haven't  you got enough model kits?"............ "Haven't you got enough handbags?".......  followed by lunch and a couple of beers is how it went :)

Need to research schemes and decals now, or build OOB with the yellow tail 🤔

A conversation familiar to many of the married or otherwise attached membership here I'm sure

Although I don't know about what aftermarket decal sheets are available there's certainly no shortage of potential options for the Meteor F8 amongst RAF and European users.

Hot news gang. Not only have we made the cut for 2019 GB calendar but we also have a date; Sat 19 Jan to Sun 12 May. So a couple months to clear the bench and pick a subject :D

Well done Col. Good work grabbing that first slot.

Hopefully it'll help keep our enthusiasm and momentum going to finish the series with a flourish ;)

Great news, glad the GB went through for next year.

I've already decided on my build: an F-86K that I had planned for this year '60s GB but then found was not eligible. Who knows, I may even build another Sabre if I find the time...

Sadly those dates don't work for me as it's during my study period which was a shame as I planned to do a series of RAF Vampires from F.1 to FB.9 showing all of the colour schemes.

I shall be an eager and interested spectator of this GB and wish you all luck!

I wonder how many Airfix Hunters we'll get in this GB.

The more the merrier in my opinion :D

Hopefully it will be out in time.  If not, I'll be building a Swift FR,5.

Either sounds good to me Enzo   Of course, both would be even better...

My pleasure Ian :D

The Meatbox sounds good to me and I'm looking forward to seeing your Hunter finished soon. Both of these will look great together.

Remember gang this one includes the period from post-war 1945 to 1959 as an added bonus so there's an extra 4 & 1/2 years of subjects to choose from ;)
