Guns - I cant find definitive photo evidence they were fitted while it was in the Oxford Blue aerobatic scheme, but I have seen guns fitted in some other Aero team Sea Fury’s, namely VX756 -100, while it was in the Silver scheme with the Red trim. Safe to assume they were fitted to WH589 while in service or not ?

Gun sight - Looks like the gunsight was fitted in some pics, but not others (and definitely not at Bankstown after retirement), and I want to do the all Blue version - This may or may not be linked to the guns……

On the Gun bay, as I am assuming it wasn’t armed while in the Aerobatic role, would the ammunition bins have been installed empty, or would the bay be totally empty ?

Flaps and wheel wells? I have seen the wing folds look Aluminium (?), but what’s the safest assumption on the interior colour of the wheel wells and flaps, Hawker Primer, Sky or over sprayed Oxford Blue ? Have noted that the tail wheel well most likely would have been Hawker Primer (Doors inside and out Oxford Blue and can see the wheel hub in Aluminium).  Thanks heaps, Cheers Paul.

 

The WH.588 & WH.589 were still operational aircraft other than the blue paint. 

Cannon were fitted, ammo tanks could be left out.

Gunsight could be removed in a couple of minutes if required, its simply a nut and a plug. 

Gear wells were Hawker yellow as were the wing folds. No idea about the flap bays.

Brilliant - got it. Thanks Steve, really appreciate it @NAVY870. I went for a big trawl through my files today and found two other pics that may help, Both from Bankstown. The flaps look to be in a lighter colour, perhaps the same Grey/Aluminium that the wing folds were in as per the second photo. Have got a plan now for the missing details, now just have to sacrifice my second last Aki kit to the Modelling gods…. Cheers Paul

A question on RN T.20s (in service ones, not the restored ones).  I know they only had two cannons fitted and I think they were in the outer position.  Does anybody know for certain, please?
