Hawker Tempest V, Wing Commander Roland Beamont, 150 wing, RAF Newchurch, 1944.

It's the Smer (originally Heller) kit, brush-painted with Colourcoats and Humbrol enamels and, some Tamiya acrylics. Transfers are a mixture of the kit's and Xtradecal (used to replace the codes). Finished with a Windsor and Newton matt coat.

Hawker Hurricane Mk. I HC 456 "6"

1./LLv 30, Finnish Air Force

Hollola, early June 1941, before the beginning of the Continuation war and painting of the yellow theater markings

Personal "arrow HK" emblem of flight leader, Kapteeni Heikki Kalaja

Airfix "new tool" kit from a few years ago - a superb one!

Brushpainted with Vallejo acrylics (black, white and yellow) and Humbrol enamels (everything else)

SBS Models decals from their respectably wide range of Finnish subjects - thanks Hungary, 12 points from the Finnish Jury!

Built from thursday evening to sunday evening. Me very happy :coolio:

Thanks Col. and Enzo Matrix!

Kit manufacture: Airfix

Scale: 1/72

Type: Hawker Hurricane Mk.I

Extras used: None

Paints and colours used: Tamiya Rubber Black, White, Vallejo Aluminium (underside, wheels), Citadel Chainmail (interior) Mr Hobby Dark Earth and Dark Green (RAF WWII). Gloss coat Alclad Aqua Gloss, matt cost Vallejo polyurethane Matt Varnish. Weathering AK Paneliner for Brown and Green Camo.

Other info: Full build is here :

I've finished a group build! A fantastic kit this is. A few errors to be fair, but the only one I really noticed was the fabric area behind the gun bay which should be metal. Decals performed flawlessly. I had a lot of help as you will see in the build thread. It's been a pleasure to take part in this group build with you all :)

Aircraft:  Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.1

Unit:  Harrier Conversion Unit, Dunsfold Airfield, Surrey, UK, 1969

Scale:  1/72

Kit Manufacturer:  Airfix

Description:  Build out of the box.  Paints used were a mixture of Humbrol enamels and Tamiya acrylics.  Minimal weathering, as per period photos.  This wonderful little kit has been my sanity check during a ridiculous amount of business travel, so when I state "out of the box", that box has been in the USA, Turkey, Russia, South Africa, Rwanda and Saudi Arabia.  Well done Airfix for such a great little kit!
