Really looking forward to this. I hate to be that person, but the Falklands scheme needs a correction. All the aircraft that were repainted in theatre were original natural metal, and the horizontal control surfaces were not painted in order to preserve their mass balance. References show that many simply had the 'Fuerza Area Argentina' below the cockpit masked over before painting and so should have a natural metal rectangle around them.

Sometimes being that person is the good deed! I have just (by accident) come across an excellent Pucar build on here:

The model bears out what you say.

I also found a few pictures of Falkland based Pucaras which are finished that way.

Great detailed information, thanks!

I built the Aconcagua 1/48 resin kit a few years ago and corresponded with Juan Carlos Herida who designed it. He was very insistent that I leave the control surfaces natural metal (in a nice way. I suspect seeing models with painted control surfaces drives him bonkers!)

Not sure why, but luckymodel shipping got enourmously expensive to Europe lately..... also combined shipping usually is the opposite of a saving...

Ordered. 39 quid posted. What am, I, likely to get nailed for these days in terms, of customs/tax when it arrives? Been a few years, since I ordered from the far east. I assume 20% VAT at least.

Got my box in today and I like what i see😁

I have some more detail shots!!

The camouflage drawings do look a bit dark for the Uruguayan one so it will be difficult to check your scheme...

And I do mis some instrument decals for it like Airfix does nowadays...

Got my kit yesterday as well, the kit looks amazing, wish they came with color profiles, can't wait to build it!

We've got one on the way for review too :) When it'll get here thanks to the mess the post is in though... another point.  BTW They sometimes have a set of colour profiles on the shop page, so have a look there
