1/72 - Fairey Delta FD.2 by Dora Wings - in project

Recommended Posts

Some very good choices for British orientated modellers. The Wallace should be a better alternative to the old Frog kit, will go  in my 504 Squadron theme collection. Now has anyone got any decent shots of 504 Squadron Meteor F.4s?

Excellent, I've never  managed to find a Frog or Frogspawn one so this is a must for me. :)

Great news! I have two NOVO kits halfway but I welcome a modern kit with decals, there are so many variations for this subject.

Hello everybody.
Now I'm starting work on the project.
There are many different aircraft projections and photographs that I made in Cosford.
But also there are a lot of questions.
  For example

- the correct sections of the fuselage with dimensions

-what does fixing the nose and fuselage look like
- thickness of wings and keel.
And so on...
Maybe someone has more information?
I will be glad to any help.
Thank you.

You may get some answers here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SONACA

I recall when Concorde was being built, they had to go to them (as Avions Fairey) for the permission to use the 'droop snoot' as it came from the FD2. All the FD2 data went to Avions Fairey.

Hi Eugen,

I think this is the book you need, which contains very good drawings:

I was thinking the same - the book has very nice drawings - and provides more interesting subjects for future kits ;-)

Will you only be doing the original FD.2, or will you also be doing a version where she was the flight tester for the Concorde ogee delta wing?
