Hi, I'm Phil and I've never built a frog kit.

Is there a special meeting I need to attend ? 😎

Phil

Hi Phil, all you need to do is forget everything you know about blacking in etched panel lines   ................because there aren't any ..............hooray

but if you are mistakenly in the wrong topic all you need to do is type in frog on Google and there is plenty of references and pictures..............generally any shade of green, a webbed foot in each corner and big smiling mouths

cheers, adey

Well count me in. Not a Comet, or Westland anything, or a Beaufort, but this:

A Bordurian 109. Hope this qualifies, and no, it didn't cost me 21p....

Outstanding 06/24

I do hope you will be putting that stand to good use, welcome to the GB

cheers Pat

What can we put you down for Adey ?

The "Renzan" would be nice ;)

Now that is an idea that I had not considered. My Renzan is an early Hasegawa issue but i suppose it could still qualify as it was also sold as a FROG kit. I don't know though because it was not designed , moulded and packed by the nice people in Margate.

trust you Pat to go and stuff a spanner in my thought cogs

cheers,  adey

I think we need to take an Article 50 vote on this,  HASAGAWA-FROG  IN or OUT ......YES or NO

Personal view is if there is a proven link to FROG then it's in, however the purists on here might not agree.

So Ladies and Gentlemen thoughts please ?

Found out that the first kit I ever 'built' rather than my dad doing it is fairly readily available

it was a new tool the year I was given in!  Please put me down as a contender.

Hi Mjwomack

You are very welcome, are you planning on building the same kit ?

cheers Pat

The difference is that this time I will build it! The first time around, dad's predictions of calamity came true

Dad's have a habit of being right. Something that my own kids find particularly annoying

IN.

They were marketed in FROG boxes............

Adey just bought the wrong box, plastics the same.

Remember, the deal was reciprocal, some FROG kits were boxed as Hasegawa.

NB Adey, NORMAL size this time

Isn't there a Kipling quote about when I was 18 my dad was the world's biggest idiot and by the time I was 21, I wondered how he'd got so clever so quickly?!

Here´s a FROG Ju 88 built a few years ago. I believe it was the second kit I finished after getting back to cementing together plastic airplane kits. Should I now do another one, but this time raiding some spares I have for "slightly" less bulky defensive armament. There seems to be a lot of Ju 88:s in my future builds, but I can´t help it :coolio: .
