Thanks for the prompt Cheers Pat Pete, Indeed I'm keeping a list of builds with all the details, in order to publish the weekly statistics. It's in Excel and it isn't immediately obvious how to share it here in Britmodeller. If some tips on how to do it are put forward, I can share it. PeterB
Hi Jaime. Although I have been using computers for over 50 years I don't have a clue how you would do that. It is not vital but it does make it easier to check on individual builds. Cheers Pete Later - typically I did not see that you have already done it so ignore above. After a brief exchange of ideas with Pat, I've created a build list which is now pinned and will be kept up to date. It's simpler than my Excel file, as I had to create it manually, but has the main info about each model being built, as well as links to the WIP threads. It's inspired on the build list of the Frog GB. It can be found here: Cheers Jaime 1

825
Just checking that it's ok. I failed to finish this Sea Otter in the last Seaplane and Floatplane GB and want to double check that I can transfer it into this GB. Don't worry if it's not possible but it would give me the impetus to get it finished.

So, please start a thread a link to your thread in the first edition just to let us know how it went to get to the point the model is at. Good luck! Rob G
Gents... I'm going to be joining in with my Eastern Express Beriev Be-200. Assuming that Flickr ever decides to cooperate, that is. Also assuming that BM cooperates as well - it's flakier than ever, but that's a different subject... I'll go and start a thread then, shall I? EDIT: Yahoo - tricky little so and sos. I had to disable my ad-blocker to be allowed to log in. There may be a hosting rethink in the near future....

gingerbob
I've got other irons in the fire at present, but the knowledge of this group is gnawing away at me. Leading candidates at the moment: the Noorduyn Norseman that my daughter wants me to build (48th), or the 1/32 Revell Super Cub that I want to put on straight floats from the Matchbox Tiger Moth...

Tough choice! Either way a civil machine? Both very worthy, with a slight edge to the Norseman for my mind - a very dignified bush plane workhorse. John Masters
I’m confused...is this a new floatplane gb?
gingerbob
It is new, but allows "recycled" (born again?) builds from the previous one. That's an innovation as far as I'm aware. Oh, and not just floatplanes, but also flying boats and other aircraft, like those silly spinning rotor thingies, that are intended to be able to float and then take off again. jrlx
16 hours ago, John D.C. Masters said: I’m confused...is this a new floatplane gb? Hi John, this is the second edition of the Flying Boats and Floatplanes GB, whose first edition ran from 2 Sept 2017 to 14 Jan 2018. In this second edition we've kept the original rules but allow unfinished builds from the first edition to be carried over. So, we allow entries of flying boats, floatplanes, amphibian helicopters (those with a boat-shaped hull), helicopters on floats and aircraft-shaped ekranoplanes from any era, country and use (civilian or military). Cheers Jaime.
