basaez.bruno
Hello! welcome to this new building thread. This time I'll be building the AH-64D from italeri. This is the box: IMG_8899 by basco.br1, en Flickr This is the decal sheet: IMG_8900 by basco.br1, en Flickr As you can see, it only comes with three versions: - US Army, with some Mcdonell Douglas logo, so I guess it was the prototype, I could be wrong. - British decals, but this kit doesn't include any extra parts for a WAH-64 - A dutch version, with wrong roundels Because of that I'll make the prototype one, wich I could only find this photo reference: IMG_6623 by basco.br1, en Flickr So lets get to work!! This is the "Bathtub" IMG_8901 by basco.br1, en Flickr I painted black with humbrol 33 and I paint the buttons with a wood toothpick IMG_8911 by basco.br1, en Flickr Sadly, this kit comes with the A version of the instrument panel IMG_8903 by basco.br1, en Flickr So I add with some plastic sheet some squares to represent the screens. Then I painted them black and added gloss varnish to the screens and use the same toothpick to paint the buttons. I really like how it looks now IMG_8910 by basco.br1, en Flickr The seats are quite well moulded, so I just painted them black, and the cushion with dark gray. After that I painted the seatbelts. IMG_8902 by basco.br1, en Flickr Later I will put the final seats photos. This is how the cockpit looks now IMG_8918 by basco.br1, en Flickr. That's all by now. I would like to ask you if you have references of this part of the rotor: IMG_8921 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_8906 by basco.br1, en Flickr It's just black? gunmetal? Soon more progress!! Cheers Bruno.-
