Zvezda 1/350 HMS Dreadnought

Recommended Posts

Just finished the 1/350 Zveda version of HMS Dreadnought. A little rigging light at the moment.  Decided to have a go at placing the ship in a seascape diorama.

This is a wonderful representation of the Dreadnought. How did you do the anti-torpedo nets - were they shoe-laces or rolled netting?

Brilliant work!

Hi Ray S, the anti torpedo nets were simply shoelaces.  They can look a little fuzzy after painting, so I would singe the 'fuzz' with a flame burner.

Hi Bugle07, for rigging I used both EZ line which comes in Black or Beige colours and thick or thin and I also used Uni Caenis.  They are both elasticated thus helping to acheive a good tension. You can find more info about these if you google them.

Incredible, not only the ship itself but I envy you skills on simulating water!

Very well done it looks so real. Love hearing about little tricks like the shoe laces.

Congratulations,  all the best, Martin
