I'm still in, I built my subject of a Fleet Air Arm Grumman Hellcat, flown by a Scot, from an American built Escort Carrier but I'm sure I can figure out something else to build...

That's the spirit ! 👍

Personally I have no clue what I'd build yet, should I manage to sort the conversion detail I'd love to build a 109.... but not the thin-legged German one, rather one of the 4 Agusta A-109 used to support SAS operations in the '80s and '90s

Thanks Giorgio, I'm pleased you have prevailed with this, it deserves to go ahead.

We'll see if we can now attract enough modellers. The start is very promising

That looks interesting, maybe if I find something then you can count me in.

Great, will add you to the list of interested members

Giorgio, I'm not on the list but by 2020 I hope to have somewhere back to model & some order restored in my life  I've not committed to any Gbs for this year but please add me to this one anyway.

Steve.

Hope you succeed in sorting everything for the best Steven, best of luck !

I'll take up position 29 please.

I'll decide on what to build about 4 weeks after the GB starts

Sorry, for some reasons I had missed your post, I've now added you to the list !

I'll probably do the same as you when the time to choose a subject comes... or maybe I'll decide months in advance only to completely change my mind the day the GB starts.. 😄

Well, I'm glad to see that this is now included in the poll ! Of course this means that I may have to manage hosting two GBs next year, can't say I can complain !

Thanks to everyone for showing your interest ! And of course thanks to Enzo for his work in making the group build work... now we only have to go to the poll and get enough votes.

@Giorgio N With voting for 2020 GB's starting tomorrow I have just been viewing the candidates.  I found this picture a while back...

Men-of-23rd-Hussars-11th-Armoured-Divisi

...it's described as - Men of 23rd Hussars 11th Armoured Division painting divisional and arm of service markings on a German Schwimmwagen captured from 12th SS Panzer Division (HitlerJugend) 6 July 1944

I bought a 1/72 Schwimmwagen a while back with this build in mind - but it has got lost at the back of the cupboard - but your GB sounds the perfect chance to dig it out.

Please can you add me to the list - Steve

That's a very interesting picture Steve, and this would make a perfect subject for this GB !

As host I'd like to see models of every kind into the GB and while I know that aircraft will be the majority, it will be great to have military vehicles well represented.

I'll add you to the list, although it's not necessary now. With 30 interested members the GB will go to the November poll and if successful everyone can join, even if they were not in the original list.

Folks, this GB is struggling in the poll ! We have to get more votes to go through for 2020, so talk to your friends and ask them to vote for this GB !

The GB allows a large number of very interesting and popular subjects, like the many US types used by the RAF, FAA and even the Army in WW2 and later

Other subjects eligible are the many aircraft flown by Polish, Czech French and other pilots in the RAF.

Last but not least, the GB is open to all kind of civilian operated vehicles, as long as they are of foreign origin and registered in the UK, be they cars, trucks or even airliners

Another shout to try and gather some interest in this GB ! We're now doing very bad in the poll, we need more support !

A particular plea to all those modellers interested in subjects different from aviation: this is one of the few GBs that allow everything from military vehicles to cars and trucks to ships and even figures. It's a rare chance to build one of these models for a GB, so please, support it with your votes !
