Paul J
My first completion for 2018. ( Actually 98% of it was completed by end of 2017 and only the underwing tanks were done this year.) Basically the Academy kit( love it or hate it) with Aeroclub cockpit, seat, tail pipe and undercart legs and weels. Xtradecals used for the mnarkings. I bought a new set because the one I had all crazed and broke up. Also the diagrams were in balck and white so it was a very plde set. The rest got binned! The wing pitot is actually from a needle cut down and glued in place... a bit sturdier than the plastic one. ANy way I hope you like what you see and lets all look forward to seeing what Airfix will do with their new tool for 2018. Incidentally, I moved the tail bullet fairing the required 2/3mm forward by cutting it away, removed some of the plastic and stuck it back in/on again with a little blending. Corrected the extreme tips to all the flying surfaces to give that slight flat edge. Would have done with the canopy open but unable to find a replacement vac form one so settled with the kit part and fitted it shut. Didn't do much else major to it. I'm happy with it but still look forward to the new Airfix one later this year. Cheers.

Lightningboy2000
Made a very grand job of that, with interesting markings which I've never seen before. Martin

The camo colours were from the Xtracrylix range. RAF Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey. Dulled down a bit with a dot of white mixed in with Daler/Rowney acrylic matt varnish. The silver underside was from the AK range.
