AnonymousAA72
I think there will be a few new sheets from Xtradecal for this kit. Can you imagine a line up of RAuxAF Squadron COs' aircraft in 1/48th? With all those colourful tails? ..or The Coronation review.......

Truro Model Builder
Gorgeous box art. Do you know that they announced this last year only a week or so after I decided I was going to concentrate on 1/72nd scale and not get any more 1/48th aircraft?

Wez
This is definitely one that calls out for Cold War Era groundcrew in 1/48th, can you imagine them swarming all over this one carrying out an Operational Turn-Rond during one of the big exercises? Well done to Airfix! That's another kit winging its way to the south coast! Wez
AlCZ
Hmmm, no Korean War camouflage ?
Dave Fleming
Interesting the built up kit is 74 Sqn, but the kit is 11 and 85.
Wez
Interesting the built up kit is 74 Sqn, but the kit is 11 and 85. Those are 111 Sqn markings (although I suspect that's what you meant). I guess the kit decals aren't ready yet. Hmmm, no Korean War camouflage ? You have to leave something for the aftermarket. I suspect most would prefer RAF/RAuxAF markings TBH - they're more colourful after all!
Jon Kunac-Tabinor
Interesting the built up kit is 74 Sqn, but the kit is 11 and 85. I suspect that the decals are from another source for the build up. Marmaduke will have a camouflaged 74 sqn meteor on one of our sheets Jonners

decalmaster
The first new Xtradecal for the Meteor F.8 is now on our web site. Pictures due soon. And more sheets will follow. You are right, there are an awful lot of schemes/squadrons that could be done. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X48158. And don't forget this one has been available for some years and there are still a few left https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/X48043. It was used on the Airfix model at Nuremberg, the kit does not include 74 Sqn, it will have 85 and 111 Sqns. That aside the fact there are two nice RAAF Korean War options on the sheet is great news. Cheers, Ken
Hornet133
And I also should note that A77-15 was named 'Elyane' not 'Elyana' as has been incorrectly reported many times. So that's 2 of 2 RAAF machines that have problems.... Steve Edited February 1, 2016 by Hornet133
