Does anybody notice that this Hunter test shot at the Nuremburg show has 230 gall drop tanks plus struts. An FGA9/FR10 in progress?

Irrespective of the contents (which I am sure will be superb) I'd be happy to just sit and stare at the box for hours... that artwork is just a thing of beauty, simply stunning.

Airfix are certainly masters of their craft on that score.

That'll do me - it looks to be streets ahead of the Academy one! (Which means that my rather large collection of Academy ones is now redundant ...)

And don't forget the Eduard after parts. :D

Back to the Hawker Hunter topic.

Is anybody knows if XtraDecals intend to print a 1/48 version of their 1/72 Ref No. 72214 ‘’International Hawker Hunters’’ ?

With the arrival soon of the brand new Airfix Hawker Hunter, I really think this could be a ‘’best seller’’ decal sheet !

Thanks for any info about it !

Partially, see here

I expect we'll see further international users sheets as time goes by.

Do tell.

It's base don a profile based on a poorly reproduced photo - all evidence (including ex-Rhodesian AF personnel) point to them being silver (possibly weathering to a lightish grey) underneath (Maybe with a slight yellow hint). There is no evidence they were ever painted Sky underneath.

Interesting, is that a cutaway around the underside of the dog tooth on the leading edge? Pointing to a possible earlier version?

The General did say that a straight wing is to come, but no two seater. Check his RFI Hunter post.
