Dermo245
Hi all and Happy Christmas to you and yours! Here's my modelling year, all brush-painted except for anything white which was from a rattle-can and all are mostly 1/72 and OOB unless noted. First up was Revell's 1/72 Jaguar in Gulf War scheme for a 'Call of Nature' (anything with an animal name). Built OOB with ordinance from the spares box. Revell_1_72_Jaguar_GR1A_04351 Done_L Next was Kinetic's 1/72 F-16 Sufa for the F-16 Group Build here. Nice kit if a little fiddly but rubbish instructions/decal guides! Kinetic 1_72_F-16I Sufa_1L Then Revell's 1/72 EC135 converted to a T2 in Irish police (Garda) air support markings. I'm especially proud of this one as I was gobsmacked to win both the Helo class and best Irish Aviation Subject at our Nationals earlier this year. Revell_EC-135_fuselage_2_Garda_Air_Support_Unit_Done8 IMG_6313 For the Experimentals/Prototypes GB here, I built the two F-35 X-planes, both by Italeri and in 1/72. The Boeing X-32 Italeri_1_72_Boeing_X-32_A_Done_ (9)_s And the winning Lockheed Martin X-35 Italeri_172_X-35_X35_Done_1 Then a complete change of tack for me...a ship! This is Hobby Boss' USS Lassen in 1/700 built OOB including etch railings & bits which come with the kit and really add to the finish. Hobby_Boss_USS_Lassen_DDG-82_done_ (8)s Then for something completely different.....my first conversion. In 1/144 combining Heller's E-2 Hawkeye and Ozmods kit to produce a C-2 Greyhound COD C2A_Greyhound_OzMods_1_144_Model (2)sml Back to OOB - Airfix's beautiful 1/72 A-4 Skyhawk in Argentinian Navy markings (from the old Airfix kit which were rubbish) Airfix_A4_Skyhawk_A03029_1_72_Dome_3sml Then a bit of What-iffery..Revell's 1/72 Blackhawk in Irish Air Corps markings. Revell_UH_60_Blackhawk_done (15) Bandai's cracking Sandtrooper and my first Bandai kit - great engineering/detail and just a wash and weathering on this. Bandai Sandtrooper (11) by For the Made In Britain GB, Revell's lovely little 1/72 Hawk in Red Arrows markings. Was really happy with the finish on this one with a brush. Revell_04921_Red_Arrows_Hawk_Done (11) crop And to round off the year for the Radial Engines Rock GB, Italeri's B-25B in Doolittle Raider markings. Italeri B-25B Doolittle Raider_1 Still have a couple on the go and if I get them done, will add them here. Thanks for looking and all your comments during the year - here's to a great modelling 2018! Cheers, Dermot Edited December 27, 2017 by Dermo245 Fixing photo links

stevehnz
What a lovely line up. Brush painting par excellence. I'd have said airbrush if I wasn't told, be proud of them, they're truly superb. Steve.
