GrahamB
Perhaps. I'm not entirely convinced that this is Night/black on the undersurface of Bishopsgate but maybe I should go and look at some more photos of unquestionably Night-camouflaged aircraft. Interesting though and I'm tempted to get the Valom kit now. Cheers Graham
Rabbit Leader
I can vouch that the Valom kit is a very nice collection of plastic, resin and PE bits all housed in a sturdy box. The proof will always be in the build, however I would think a little time and patience should pay big dividends. I was very impressed with the contents when I first opened the box. The kit has crisp panel lines throughout and captures the overall shape of the Bombay very well. What surprised me was the apparent lack of reference material on offer for this aircraft, so hence my web search and quest to seek information about the aircraft in the video above. One slight issue I’ve noticed (which appears to be common with other kits featured in video builds) .. is that the fine scalloped wing trail edges on all four wing pieces (the bit which meets the fuselage) are all bent up/down or broken. These will need a little surgery however I’m sure it’s all fixable. Don’t let this distract you from what looks to be a great kit. Cheers.. GrahamB
Hi Dave, many thanks for this info, and - going a little off-topic - but I'm near to finishing a Valom Fokker T.V. - essentially a very nice kit (as is the Bombay as you describe it) but needing some work on getting things to fit properly and refining some trench-like panel lines in a few places.
