Bob Henry
I have to consult the "Brain Trust" again for this one. I ran into an individual who is looking for some info about his grandfather's plane. Ellis Hupp flew P-51's for the 339th FG based out of Fowlmere from 1944 through the end of the war. The only thing that I have found so far is that he "Ground Looped" a P-51D ( 44-14554 ) on takeoff on 3/28/45. His grandson is looking for a photo of a particular aircraft that he flew with the name "Little Jen", or some other slight variation of spelling. If a photo exists I may try to build a model for him. It is possible that it is a P-51-K model since they transitioned late in the war. If anyone can provide some insight it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Bob H. Bob Henry
Thanks guys. That is where I basically wound up. I saw his photo but no photos of his aircraft with the nose art. I will forward these links to the family. Bob H.
