The Hasegawas T-4s in both popular scales are plentiful on the market and cheap too.Why take the trouble of having another one unless Hasegawas are banned from chinese hobby stores!Should spend the money on more rare to find kits such as the TA-4 Skyhawk version or those early French jets.

Two related answers to this:

1) The Hasegawa kit may not be as "plentiful and cheap" as you perceive it to be, especially if you're considering secondary market (e.g. "Bay of E") or old stock still on the shelves of your local shop(s).

2) As is frequently observed when comments like this come up, Hobby Boss makes £0.00 (or ¥0.00) from sales of Hasegawa's.

I agree.  Is there really a huge demand from chinese modelers for the Japanese T-4?  HB should have instead invested the tooling for something that's more exotic such as downsizing their 1/32 & 1/48 kits into 1/72 Mig-19s, FTC-2000, F3H Demon , FJ-4 Fury, etc.

Heck, if they're competing with Hasegawa, a line of 1/72 F-111s will fly off the shelves!  They already have the 1/48 CAD drawings. They just need to downsize to 1/72.

edit:

1/72 Hasegawa T-4s go for less than US$10:

The (minor) downside to the 1/72 Hase kit is the lacking centreline pylon + fueltank. The Hobby Boss boxtop does show a T-4 with the centreline fueltank but is that also in the box?

Some JASDF T-4s have been spotted flying around with some kind of 'sniffer' pod on the centreline, would be great if that was included.
