Andrew Perren
Hello Folks This is my latest off the bench and represents a few firsts for me. - First 1/32 in a long time, - First time using MRP paints, - First time using Montex masks. - First time using a turps based panel line wash. Eduard(Hasegawa) P-40N A29-607 BU-G as flown by Sqn Ldr John Waddy, 80 SQN RAAF . All but the kill tally and tail code are painted on using Montex masks. Kit stencils. I love the MRP paint and will use it again. The Eduard kit gives you resin wheels and exhausts and some etchy goodness. Hope you like my BU-G. Cheers Andrew P.
Corsairfoxfouruncle
THATS A P-40 ! 👍 Ive always liked the lines of these P-40’s with the cut down rear decking. I have a 1/48th one coming up in the rotation probably in January. Can hope it looks this good.
stevehnz
That is quite marvellous Andrew, even though I'd do this in a much smaller scal;e it doesn't stop me admiring a master at work, while being glad I don't need to feel obliged to bother. 72modeler
Not my scale, either, but you get 10 out of 10 for this build. Best P-40N I have seen in any scale! It's so hard to make the larger scale kits look like the real thing rather than painted plastic, but you have pulled it off. My very favorite N scheme, too! Well done, sir! Andrew Perren
Thanks for all the kind comments guys, I appreciate it. As as for the photos it's been something I'm putting a lot of time into improving. These were taken with my new Nikon D5600 ( merry Christmas to me) and I have a studio/table setup with some light stands that hold 5500k daylight bulbs with diffusers. Lots of folk know more about photography than me but that's what I'm using. hope that helps. Andrew P.
