Jeddahbill
Greetings! Excellent kit from Airfix. Identifying proper colours for early IJN aircraft can be confusing, especially for the interior and wheel wheels. I believe that MITSUBISHI Zeros used the same colour in the wheel wells and covers as the overall colour while NAKAJIMA made Zeros (of which none were present at Pearl Harbour) used the green/blue Aotake in the wheel wells and the small cover, while the main leg cover was the same inside and out as the lower surface colour. Interior green cockpit colour was approximately FS34095. This aircraft was flown by Lt. Saburo Shindo from the carrier AKAGI during the Pearl Harbour strike of 7 December 1941. Many thanks for having a look, your questions and comments are always welcome. Cheers, Bill

kapam
That looks very nice. I'm rather partial to the "IJN Grey" schemes and your model does it nicely. Well done.
