@Robert Stuart

Before I start a new topic thread, I thought that I would check that this was suitable for inclusion. I had planned on starting a DH Vampire FB.5 finished in No.613 (City of Manchester) Sq., RAuxAF colours.

Yes, please go ahead.  RAuxAF are and were under RAF command and supplied a reserve for the full-time air force - "Its current mission is to provide trained personnel in support of the regular RAF" (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Auxiliary_Air_Force )

A wooden jet (Vampire) will be a welcome addition to the group build ;)

Thanks for the clarification Robert, I'll start a new thread now.

Notes: each kit is counted as once (e.g. Rabbit Leader's 452 Sqn build is counted as three kits, one for a Tamiya kit and two for Airfix kits)

One (unstarted) build is omitted, since no kit has been confirmed

One thread has been split into three, with two threads each with one kit, and one place holder - this is counted as two kits.

Hello Matt, you are very welcome to join, that's an appropriate choice of kit :)

Time is a little limited now, but I'd hope that you would be able to finish that Typhoon by the end of the build.

Bah, I've run out of time to enter this - I'm in the middle of moving house currently so all model building activities have been suspended for the next month :( I left it too late on this GB by getting distracted with Hitachi Excavators and AIrfix Girder Bridges :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Apologies everyone, certain not to make the deadline for this GB came up against a grey brick wall in the shape of the mojo sapping Eurofighter, enjoyed the SE5a but just couldn’t get going with the Typhoon.

Cheers,

Mark.

Yeah, I've got no chance of completing mine (ZA326 in 1:32) to a satisfactory level of detail within the time period.

It's been great though and the build shall continue in the WIP part of the forum :)

Best wishes,

Sam

I'm still working on my Defiant (the thread must be updated) and hope to start painting it soon, but I'm not sure I'll finish it in time. The Tiger Moth hasn't even been touched, so no chance of any progress till the GB's end.

Cheers

Jaime

C'mon chaps - Big push!!

I now count 31 completed models in the GB Gallery and it would be so nice to see a few more. Robert's list above mentioned 89 builds going on, so that leaves a fair few to hopefully get over the finish line before this weekend is out. Washing the car, taking the kids to the park or the missus out for Dinner can surely wait until next weekend!

Cheers.. Dave (now relieved that he's just posted into the GB Gallery!)
