Massimo Posted December 4, 2020 Author Posted December 4, 2020 (edited) Hi fellas! Another small update: One of the last arrivals was this decals sheet . So I could finally add the serial... ...and the Royal Navy marking at the sides of the cockpit. Not much of an update, but another step toward the project's completion. This sheet is very useful , with loads of numbersand letters of various sizes. A "must have" item!!! that's it for now! Ciao Massimo Edited December 4, 2020 by Massimo 6
giemme Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Great to see this eventually completed, Massimo Those shots (second and third from the bottom) where you can take a peek at the interiors are just amazing! Ciao 1
Massimo Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 Good evening mates, Today it rained allday, ideal weather for modelling! I started by adding some details to the Phantom's nose gear's doors. I painted them white and the rocket launchers silver first, then I painted the front black and the rear gun metal. Then I concentrated on the tractor. In my previous pictures, partly due to the artificial light, I had realized the shade of yellow I had used was a bit too light, so I oversprayed some areas with yellow and a touch of orange, to give it warmer look. To give the tractor a bit of life, I decided to add a tarpaulin. To make it , I used cooking foil. Then I added rome rust marks. This is how it looks now. Ths is the result of my modelling day. On the right the Canberra's pedals. This is it for now. Thanks for watching! Ciao Massimo 10
Anthony in NZ Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Wow....again! Your painting and attention to detail is wonderful! 1
Ex-FAAWAFU Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Careful with that tarpaulin; it wouldn’t be lying around loose on a tractor on deck. Lovely job, as ever!... though someone needs to rebrief Xtradecal; “Royal Air Force...letters, numerals and titles”, eh? So half the sheet says ROYAL NAVY? Pah! 7

Xavante Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Very impressive work! I repeated your feat, but in decals 😉 both, 72 and 48
