1/72 ICM Tupolew Tu-2 "Moskwa"

Dear fellow Britmodellers,

here's my 1/72 Tupolew Tu-2, built from the ICM kit.

This model kit was orginally released in 1997, and while being sufficently detailed, it looks a bit crude compared with today's industry standards.

I built from the box and painted with Gunze acrylics according to a color profile provided by fellow Britmodeller Learstang - thank you very much for your valuable help, Sir!

I used the kit's decals for the individual markings, the Red Stars come from a Begemot sheet.

Just beautiful, Roman.  A great rendition of this excellent aircraft with a superb paint finish.  I always think this and the Pe-2 were real 'lookers'.

Brilliant job, Roman! Glad to be of help! That does look striking in that unusual variant of the three-colour scheme. I suppose I need to get moving on painting my Hobby Boss Tu-2.

Hi My Friend Roman!!!!

I have watched this nice build and have enjoyed a lot the nice pics shared here that makes really justice to the build. 

I have bought this kit in Encore brand boxing many many moons ago in a Squadron Mail Order sale, and really never figured what kind of masterwork can be made from her, obviously very well worked and enjoyed like you have done here. The kit maybe is not closer to the today's standard, but without a doubt very well worked as you have done, one with dedication and love for the build can achieve a nice result but you have got above average in this one.

 

The build looks resplendent in this colour scheme you have chosen for her, highly brilliant and nicely applied, also liked a huge lot the attention to details and weathering very well done. Without a doubt another masterpìece added to your showcase. I have seen that you have, even though you build everything from WW II birds, that you have a special care and joy for the Russian aircraft, so in that case my own question would be,what russian marvel will be the next from Roman's Skunk Works???

Very nice result. The colours are a bit "anti camo" - so colourful... A single colour wing loks bizzare a bit. Do you know why it was painted this way, perhaps?

Roman, you are an indefatigable master!  You had a lot of enthusiasm to take and make this model. I know this set, the Russians call such sets like "firewood". Thanks for posting.
