Meteors
Hi guys, for those of you who don’t read the WIP section here are some pics of my completed Power Loader. First up here’s a link to the WIP post: And here’s the finished piece, I don’t have any lovely studio style pics, just shots of it on my desk. Cheers, Tom
Andy Moore
That looks fantastic Tom. The extra work you did with the harness etc has really made it special. Andy
Will Vale
What a great loader, looks busy and worn yet difficult things like the chevrons are really neat. BTW, I don't know if this is in the instructions or not but I believe there are two little black T decals which go in the PWL circles to make the old-style Caterpillar "Block-C" logos that were on the movie loader. I don't think Halcyon acquired the license hence the subterfuge. Sorry this is a bit late, I've not been following along like I should've been.https://www.caterpillar.com/en/company/history/archive/no-31-caterpillar-chevrolet-throws-it-back-to-the-early-1970s.html Cheers, Will
Gimme Shelter
now that, is a masterpiece - stunningly realistic frustrates me that I'm not that good at painting / airbrushing armour to this great standard I don't see this kit often, and yours really DOES reflect the full potential of the old Halcyon box contents
Meteors
Wow, thanks so much guys, praise indeed! Will, I had a look at the left over bits on the decal sheet and you're right, there were little Ts in there to add to the PWL bit! Very cheeky! I don't think I'll try to add them now though as I'd probably end up knocking bits off and making a mess of it! Thanks for following along.
