Hi,

Although the Walrus is not on my list of must have/must do, I'm finding this thread fascinating. The kit looks rather good and you are doing it justice. I'm also rather enjoying the off piste moments ............ love those Red Tops!

Cheers

I found this thread almost by accident and have just spent the last hour or so catching up.

It's one of the most enjoyable and, er, confusing, I've seen to date. Did someone forgotten to lock the asylum before going home? :mental:

What is this thread about, anyway? A Walrus or a Lightning?  :D

I'm gonna have to play catch up later

Hello Timmas,

No, in fact they throwed me away ! I've been lebelled 3rd class brain damaged :P

This is the Walrus thread but sometimes I give some news of the frightening because she did'nt have a WiP for herself.

I started her in 2005, and she has stalled a loooong time because of very boring adjustment and lot of sanding...

I find that the differences between the Walrus and this old Airfix kit is worth to be showed !

To me, and that make me very glad, Airfix is now in a complete rebirth  !!

That Walrus is a very good kit, really a pleasure to build !

I just hope that the Meteor, the Sea Fury and the future Blenheims are from the same stable !

Lidar is just marvelous in that case !

Hope that will help you to cope with the confusion, for the bantering.... It's my way to be !

Sorry about that !

Sincerely.

Hello Giemme,

For 2018 SWMBO AND my bank say... NO !

Unless I win to the lottery.... I play each week....:penguin:

If I win, I start a Stirling, An Avro Bison and some other british niceties both at 1/48 scale.

And i came in 2018 with a truck bar full of belgian beer and ... Bunnies ?? Is that OK ?

Bunnies are intended for opening the bottle for the BM members :evil_laugh:

look like a good plan...

Sincerely.

Ha. No need to apologise. I hope you didn't take my comment the wrong way; my sense of humour doesn't always translate itself very well into writing I'm afraid. It's a truly great thread ... and so's the banter.

:D Is the bottled Guinness anywhere near the original one? I once tried the canned one here in Italy, and it was a total disappointment. I had some real one in Dublin and that was delicious!

Red wine for me today, though - and a good Erdinger weisse yesterday :)

Looking forward to more progress

Hello Giorgio !

The canned one is the thing that is almost near the original guiness, but it's just a way to sell it worldwide

Draght guiness is the best IMHO, Nothing compare to a pint in an irish pub !

We are Lucky enough to have such a pub in Charleroi, thanks to Ryan Air ;)

This one in bottle is the Guiness Stout ! Served in bottle even in Ireland !

It's labelled "For the old men" wich I translate by for the Wise men !!!:rambo::rambo:

Erdinger !! Gemütlich !! Good choice too mate !

For me it will be a Fitou with some "poule au pot"

Yesterday it was pasta bolognese Chhht Don't tell it to @massimo.....

Don't want to disturb ! 'Cause I do it with a recipe received from a Napolitan friend !

Sincerely.

I thought for a minute that Walrus had disappeared onto the 'shelf of doom' for a moment .

As for the Guinness, you can't be beat Guinness from a barrel but Erdinger would be my beer of choice out of the two.

Don't you worry, started to assemble the big parts.

I found a good paint scheme, one that will raise eyebrows of course...

Nonetheless an authentic one, but Shagbat will go on slowly for the while.

Sincerely.

Very pretty little boat you're putting together there Mr CC.

I am waiting impatiently for the next installment.

(Especially since it will take me years to get around to building this thing.

I made a start on the old SMER kit some years ago...I wonder where it's gotten off to?
