Forgotten Komet: Finished

Recommended Posts

A ludicrous forgotten build: Started this to test Mr Color Luftwaffe paints back in May 2016. I lost the Morane mast aerial and then with my move, illness, life etc., it got put into a box and completely forgotten till yesterday.

Looking closely, it needs said mast scratched/robbed, then some detail painting, final matt coat and she'll be ready for the shelf. What could possibly go wrong?

A braver soul than I, to flaunt the modeling gods in such a blatant fashion!:D

Good luck with your build!

It is interesting that builds often get to almost finished and then stall. Has happened to me a few times. I think sometimes I loose my oomph when I get to the stencils.

Oh the number of things I have that are finished(ish) and just need one touch up and last varnish

Not so forgotten anymore, it turns out you can leave Eduard masks and Maskol on for nearly 2 years and it comes off easily. Finished with Mr Color flat . First test of new Nikon D850 + Helicon Focus stacking, not bad but will be doing gallery beauty shots on Friday. My"A" now has been well and truly kicked...

It's a nice feeling to get a shelf-sitter onto the posh shelf, isn't it? :)
