DaveJL
Hello all, Here is my recently finished Revell 1/48 F-15E Strike Eagle, in the markings of the 335th Fighter Squadron 'Chiefs' during Operation Inherent Resolve in 2016. 89-0487 downed an Iraqi Mi-24 with a GBU-10 during Operation Desert Storm and was the first F-15 to reach 12000 flying hours. The build thread is here I wanted a heavily worn jet as seen in many pictures online. Extras used include Pavla seats, Speed Hunter Graphics decals, Eduard Brassin GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs and FOD guards from the spares. the AIM-120s, AIM-9, GBU-38s and GBU-12s are all from an Academy F-15E. Here it is alongside my 391st FS and 492nd FS jets: Thanks for looking. Dave
Christer A
Having missed the WIP I thought I'll pop out here instead, complimenting you on a terrific Mudhen! That weathering looks just about right,if I can trust the small screen in my phone. No real issues with the Revell kit I take it? Not a huge amount of filler has been used from what I can see, so I'm guessing it's good in that aspect. Will have another look as soon as I'm om a bigger screen...

The Revell kit is great, the 3rd best fitting kit i've built - only behind Tamiya's F-14 and F-16. Dave

Colonel Wreck
Great build of a lovely aircraft. I had the same kit in my hand earlier this week along with the 1/48 Tornado F.3. I chose the Tornado. But I think I will go back to the store next week to get the F-15 and start that build first!

Orion
Hello DvaeJL, You succeded in turning this beast into a very weathered example. One question: What type of armory is on the center line. Not familiar to me at this moment. Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.
