Swift FR.5, II (AC) Sqn, RAF Jever, 1956

Recommended Posts

Loved the Swift ever since I delved into the history of my very local ex-airfield of (RAF) Waterbeach. Having being delivered to 56 sqn back in 1954 as the first official swept wing squadron for the RAF. There is a book called 'Swift from the cockpit' by Nigel Walpole that gives a very good run down on the type from trials to end of service well worth a look if you can find a copy, very nicely done, just hope that when it comes to me doing my Xtrakit Swift that mine comes out half as good.
