tempestfan
Considering the Sharp rise in their prices over the past few years, £ 37 for the Mirage sounds like excellent VfM. As I think this size of Box is RRP‘ed at 15€ (might be 20 now), I‘d expect the Hunter in the same ballpark.

Col.
Are those 'Skill Level' assesments really a fair indicator of the kit? The Hunter is quite straightforward but the Camel and SE5a are bound to be a bit harder to construct.

No just the number of parts, the hunter is one of those kits that builds itself where as the typhoon whilst being slightly better than the older tool isn’t the easiest of builds

tempestfan
"British Legends 1918-2018" - why not simply have "100 years of the RAF" ? Does the MoD demand royalties for the use of "RAF" nowadays ?

Does the MoD demand royalties for the use of "RAF" nowadays ? Yes. The MoD trademarked a lot of the forces symbols/art about a decade ago including the RAF roundel. Though in a twist the roundel can be used on clothing with impunity as at the time of the ruling it was deemed it had moved too far into the public domian to be trademarked in that use. That said the MoD seem to pick and choose how they assert ther rights and don't seem to be too heavy handed about it (after all they are publically funded). However, there are certain usages where they require a licensing agreement to be in place, I would assume a "100 Years of the RAF" is one. Thomo. The Academy kit is a far better choice (until Airfix decide to re-tool).

There's only one 1/72 Revell Tempest. It was released in 1963 and has been re-boxed several times, last time in 1993.
