"100 years of RAF" models - Interesting just two weeks out from Telford!

I wonder if they've overheard a few whispers and have released these as a little 'One Up' against Airfix.

Let it roll on I say - we may be in for a treat or two.

Cheers... Dave

The 15cm Panzerwerfer 42 is of MACO origin, for sure.

I am surprised about the announcement of the Fw-190 F8 in 72 scale -

will this be a re-issue of their 1997 moulding?

I haven't heard anything about a "new tool" Fw-190 from Revell in 72 scale.

Place your bets for what the 100 years of the set RAF will contain.

I doubt it will contain any new kits or ones not previously seen in Revell boxes, so here is my selection, all 1:72: Sopwith Camel, Hawker Fury, Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Hunter and Eurofighter Typhoon.

The Camel and Spitfire are givens (although I wouldn't be surprised to see the Revell Hurricane in its place). Other likely alternatives: Lancaster, Lightning (reissue of old Frog kit or Matchbox F.6), Tornado (Revell has a nice 1/72 kit), Gladiator (ex-Matchbox), Heyford (ex-Matchbox), Siskin (ex-Matchbox).

Excellent news about that Hunter, I've waited for that. Is there a difference in plastic between the FGA9 and Mk6 kits?

And does anybody know what the current options are to change it to a non-sawtooth?

I'm also curious about the F-117, as far as I know the only F-117 Revell has done before is this ridiculous thing:

So is this a rebox from one of the other manufacturers or a new tool?

The hunter is like a new kit to me since I don't have one but I wonder whether revell has washed it's hands off publishing new tool kits on regular interval ? There is like one new tool in each scale per year . The likes of Airfix , special hobby ( who I suspect have far less resources and manpower ) manage to churn out new tools on an acceptable rate .

The FGA9 has an extra sprue with Mavericks and their associated LAUs, plus some Swiss-specific bits for late-model Hunters. It also includes the FGA9 tailpipe and larger drop tanks.
